"The foundation of every state is the education of its youth"
|
|
A quote from Diogenes, biographer of the Greek
philosophers, leads us into the new school year. With classes beginning in just a few days,
this is a hectic - yet exciting - time for everyone connected to Columbus Academy.
In addition to classes starting on Thursday, there is a plethora of
other activities this week, including several orientations, a Lower School
ice cream social, Band Day, Upper
School book distribution
and numerous sports contests. We will do
our best to make you aware of all the events that make this such a vibrant
campus. But we will also try to limit
the content so that it does not become overwhelming. And no matter how many events may be taking place
any given week, we will always stay attentive to this school's foundation: the
education of our youth.

Popular items in the past included sports memorabilia, tickets to
upcoming events and the free use of vacation homes. The dinner committee is also seeking sponsors
