Christopher Gardner to speak at Academy
Chris GardnerChristopher Gardner, whose autobiography - "The Pursuit of Happyness" - became a #1 bestseller and the basis for the critically acclaimed film by the same name, will speak to students at The Columbus Academy on November 28, 2007.  Later that day, Gardner will speak at the fourth annual Celebration of Leadership event, generously hosted and sponsored by school parents Abigail and Les Wexner.  Gardner is the fourth guest speaker in CA's Annual Fund Celebration of Leadership Series, following in the footsteps of Sam Donaldson in 2004, John Walsh in 2005 and Cal Ripken Jr. in 2006.  Celebration of Leadership is a thank you and a stimulus for CA's Annual Fund leadership donors (gifts of $2,500 and above).  Invitations and further details about the day's events will be coming soon.  Click here to see today's press release.  Click here to see Gardner's bio.  Click here to see Gardner's photo (courtesy of Keppler Speakers).

Correction to Summer 2007 edition of Academy Magazine
Pep RallyWe apologize for an error on Page 3 of the Summer 2007 edition of Academy Magazine.  The final sentence of the Commencement article ("Class of 2007 Makes History at Academy") should have said:  Middle School Dean Susan Carter P'96 '00 and Upper School Mathematics Teacher John Street P'04 '07 presented the "lifer" diplomas to 20 young men and 13 young women who were enrolled at Academy continuously since at least first grade.  Mr. Street was incorrectly identified in the printed story, and we certainly want him to be recognized for the honor.  A correction will also run in the next Academy Magazine.
