Photos of special guests highlight online galleries
|
In addition to last week's boys basketball games
and wrestling meet, be sure to visit this week's Around Academy gallery,
including photos from a first grade science class, a Middle School swim meet
and presentations by two special guests - former professional basketball player
Lawrence Funderburke and award-winning filmmaker Keith Beauchamp. Funderburke was on campus to speak with the Upper School
economics club while Beauchamp spent last Friday introducing and discussing his
moving documentary "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till" with Middle and
Upper Schoolers. In preparation for
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the documentary gave CA students insight into one
of the most dramatic events of the American Civil Rights Movement.
